Since the AIC in 2009 declared March 21 as the International Colour Day (also called ICD), around the globe more than 30 countries participate in this ode to colour. On March 21, 2018 ICA-Belgium, the Interdisciplinary Colour Association of Belgium, will participate with a wildly interesting colour symposium which is drawn from recent research and developments on colour. The event is hosted at La Cambre Brussels.

Topics include all interdisciplinary approaches and applications concerning colour, from philosophy to physics, from language to environment, from science to art, etc..

We invite you to present your research on colour from an interdisciplinary point of view during a 30 minute presentation or poster.

The language of the symposium is English.

How to submit

To submit an abstract for a poster or an oral presentation please submit a provisional title with a summary (500 words maximum). Please use the name of one author. The names of any co-authors can be submitted in the body of the abstract. Topics have to relate to colour approached from all disciplines. Contributors may be universities, associations as well as corporates or individuals.

Selected posters and oral presentations authors will be notified by February 1, 2018. Details regarding guidelines for the posters and oral presentations will be provided at the time of notification.

ICA-Belgium is a non profit organization and therefore it is not possible to compensate your expenses such as for travel and accommodation.

ICA-Belgium offers you the following:

  • A 30 minutes presentation of your work during the symposium on March 21.
  • The presentation will be spread digitally amongst the attendants.
  • The presentation will be spread digitally on our social media.
  • Your research paper can be found on the site of ICA-Belgium.
  • You are free to present a poster presentation of your research.
  • You will have a free membership for one year.
  • Participation as a speaker is free.
