MICROKOSMOS (2018)
A permanent installation in the courtyard of Het Huys in Uccle (Brussels), Microkosmos is a complex assembly made of a large mural of 170 m² and four special lights that light up evenings and nights. Het Huys is a socio-cultural centre that has two periods of activity: during the day it is a community centre and in the evening it hosts concerts and theatre plays.
Microkosmos refers to this dual identity: during the day the work is a wall painting and when the sun goes down, it becomes a social experience around the perception of light and colour, where an artificial light changes the colours painted on the wall, the colour of the eyes and the skin and clothes of the visitors. Microkosmos is the first work in which Adrien Lucca has developed such a special light, worked at the very level of its spectrum.
