Seeing painting's palette in a new light

I have developed a process at the intersection of generative art, traditional art,​ and technology. I have named it Chromagenesis.​ Digital reproductions of paintings that I find interesting for their palette are​ recomposed based on the properties of colors. The resulting image always has​ the same size and number of pixels as the original image, but it varies in its​ composition.
In addition to fine-tuning parameters, manual intervention is necessary to​ introduce a certain element of surprise into the result.
