Jeannette is founder of the ColourProfessionals institute in Antwerp, Burcht. A training center for colour specialists, with a diverse offer of courses and training in the field of colour. She believes that real understanding of colour can only be achieved by experiencing the interactions of colour and that it involves life long learning. Jeannette is a member of the scientific international organization AIC-color and member of 3 international study groups on Color Education, Environmental Color Design and The Language of Colour. She is Co-founder of the Belgian Association ICA Belgium. Besides working with colour, Jeannette loves to travel. These travels are often with a colour theme. She likes to visit conferences, trade fairs and exhibitions at home and abroad to keep abreast of new developments in the field of trends and colour.
Maja is an independent designer living in Brussels, Belgium, with special interest in pattern, colour and form in a concept of space. She graduated in Architecture and holds a Master of Science in Colour Dynamics (Environmental Colour Design) by Budapest University of Technology and Economics. She values multidisciplinary approach and works internationally in architectural, interior, surface and colour design.
Through her work she has traveled extensively and finds an endless source of inspiration in places she has seen and lived at, in different cultures and ways of life, but above all the people.
Inez Michiels is director at CITY OF 8 design semantics research association and cofounder, board member of the ICA-Belgium Interdisciplinary Colour Association. She is professor Colour and Design Semantics at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de La Cambre in Brussels. She obtained a Master of Arts from the Artesis-Plantijn Hogeschool in Antwerp. In cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and the University of Antwerp, dep. of communication sciences she did research into the link between art and emotion. She is a guest lecturer at the University of Antwerp, dep. interior architecture and at the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore US, dep. graphic design. She is a member of the AIC Study Group on Environmental Colour Design.
